March in Carmel-by-the-Sea
“Feeling the sun on my face,
the breeze through my hair,
the happiness in my heart…
Yeah. Summers almost here.”
Me and my boyfriend went to this amazing place at the end of this March. I totally fell in love with this European-style village, Carmel-by-the-Sea.
Many old couples were living here. They were incredibly friendly to us. White shining hair and bright smiles, I’ve never seen so many charming old ladies around me elsewhere in the US until I came to this place. They were all in good shape, lithe and graceful, and they do dress like young girls too, all with good tastes.
There’s a secret garden (The Secret Garden) behind the Pilgrim’s Way Bookstore. It was decorated with crafts and plants. I love the way how it was arranged, unique and special.
There is one Japanese restaurant you never want to miss. Its called Akaoni. Trust me, they got the best sashimi I’ve ever had in the US. The fish was so fresh without any fishy smell. I can’t forget how sensational I felt inside my mouth when I had the first piece of salmon. My taste buds have never felt so awakening. The soy sauce must be exclusively made for its full aroma.
There’s only one downside about this restaurant, which is their waitress. She seemed to be too reserved when we were ordering food from her. Her lack of smile made us a little bit uncomfortable. However, once the food came out, every unpleasantness disappeared.
I’ve always been a sucker for vivid flowers. That’s one of the main reasons why I love this place so much.
